People often have questions when it comes to latex storage and care- especially for first time buyers, it’s helpful to know how to make the most of your latex purchase, making it last as long as possible. AVOID Contact with copper, brass, and bronze based items, or metal objects such as coins, belts, and piercings
AVOID Sharp objects that may puncture or rip latex rubber
AVOID Oil-based lubricants like petroleum jelly, or mineral and vegetable oils damage latex
AVOID Perfumes, body sprays, and oils
Only use silicone-based, or water-based lubricant with latex rubber
Lubricate yourself well with silicone lubricant before putting on latex rubber clothing
Remove jewelry that may stain, or snag when putting on or taking off your a latex rubber garment
Lighter colored latex will stain more easily

Fill a bucket or basin full of warm water adding a squirt of fragrance-free liquid dish soap
Submerge rubber latex in warm soapy water, gently agitating to remove dirt, sweat, lubricant, etc.
Drain water, repeating the process without additional dish soap until the water runs clear and without suds
Final rinse of rubber latex, fill the bucket or basin with warm water, adding a squirt shiner. Fully submerge latex in the water, slowly pulling them upright out of the water
Carefully shake off excess water before hanging to dry on a plastic hanger. Any remaining water can be wiped with a soft towel
Leave space between garments to allow to fully dry and reduce the chances of sticking or staining

Put away each latex garment in its own plastic garment bag
Avoid hanging garments with thin straps or on metal hangers
White tissue paper can be placed between latex and metal fastenings or buttons to prevent staining
Light colors will stain more easily
Store different colors of latex separately to minimize staining
Store your garment in a cool and dry place out of direct sunlight
Keep out of sunlight and extreme heat
Keep away from exposed flame and fires
